The merger should be done by the 31st of May 2022On May 31, 2022, the merger is expected to be completed. DraftKings will pay for each common share of the acquired online casino, GNOG, with 0.365 brand-new shares. The total value of the acquisition is estimated to be $1.56 billion.
Tilman Fertitta, the primary shareholder of the operator, currently holds 46% of the shares and intends to retain them along with any additional shares he may acquire in the next year. Moreover, he plans to become a member of the DraftKings board while simultaneously preserving his ownership of GNOG’s physical properties.

DraftKings and GNOG are still actively seeking the required gaming regulatory approvals to finalize the acquisition. As a result, DraftKings anticipates that the acquisition will be completed by May 31, 2022, provided that all closing conditions are met or waived.
