PENNSYLVANIA CASINO REVENUE WINS OVER $500 MILLION FOR THE FIRST TIME

In March 2023, the casino industry witnessed an exceptional month with several states achieving unprecedented revenue. Both New Jersey and Pennsylvania shattered their previous records, experiencing a remarkable year-on-year growth surpassing 10%.

In March 2023, Pennsylvania’s casinos achieved a significant milestone by surpassing $500 million in revenue, with a total collection of $515.3 million. This exceptional month recorded a growth of 11.35% compared to the previous year, when PA casinos collected $462.7 million during the same period.

With the exception of Prax Casino, all state casinos have experienced considerable growth in revenue compared to the corresponding period in 2022.

Despite Prax Casino’s assertion of securing the third spot, its revenue has experienced a marginal decline in comparison to the previous year. In March 2023, the casino’s earnings amounted to $60.44 million, slightly lower than the $60.46 million generated during the corresponding period in 2022.

Hollywood Casino Morgantown stood out by achieving a remarkable year-on-year growth rate of 66.87%. The casino’s revenue in March 2022 amounted to $5.7 million, which experienced a substantial increase to $9.5 million in 2023.

With a growth percentage of 51.98%, Hollywood Casino at Meadows emerged as the leader in increased earnings, raking in $31.2 million in March 2023, surpassing the $20.5 million collected in March 2022.
